The Three-Option Model: How We Price Your Consultation, Fairly and Transparently
Sticker shock belongs at a car dealership, not in a salon chair.
If you've ever sat down for a "simple color refresh" and walked up to the front desk to a total you didn't see coming, you know the feeling. Your hair might look great, but the moment at checkout sticks with you longer than the color does.
We built our pricing so that moment never happens at Tailored. You'll always know the price of your service before we start, and you'll always have options. Here's exactly how that works, and why we do it this way.

What "starting from" actually means on our menu
When you look at our services page, you'll see prices listed as "starting from." That's the lowest price a service is offered at (outside of our training services). It's a real starting point, not a teaser.
What moves the price from there comes down to two things:
The service itself. How much time, product, and technique your hair actually needs to get where you want it.
Your stylist's level. Our team works across a leveling system, from stylists in training up to our Master Stylists. Each level carries its own price point.
That second piece matters more than people expect. Because our stylists work at different levels, we can offer a genuinely elevated salon experience across a wide range of budgets. You get the same customized consultation, the same products, and the same team standing behind the work, whichever level you book….but with our own individual flair!
And whatever your final number is, you'll hear it from us before a single foil goes in.
How the three-option consultation works
Every service at Tailored starts with a consultation. It isn't a formality. It's where we figure out what your hair actually needs, what your life actually looks like, and what we can realistically do together.
At the end of that conversation, we give you three options at three price points. Each one is a real path to the hair you want, with an honest picture of what it takes.
Then you choose. Not us.
Why we'll always tell you what it really takes
We can't promise you a dramatic transformation in a 90-minute appointment if your hair needs four hours. What we can promise is honesty about what it'll take to get you there.
Sometimes that means telling you the look you want needs more visits than you planned. Sometimes it means the appointment you booked today isn't long enough for the result you're picturing. We'd much rather have that conversation at the start than leave you disappointed at the end, either with your hair or with your bill.
We've been doing this long enough to know that the best result isn't always the most dramatic one. It's the one that fits your hair, your schedule, and your budget, and that you can actually maintain once you leave.

It's your hair and your money, so the decision is yours
Here's the part we care about most: the three-option model puts you in charge.
It's not your job as the client to know exactly what you want, or what it should cost. That's our job to figure out with you. But once we've laid out your options clearly, the call is yours. You know your calendar, your budget, and how much time you want to spend in the chair better than we do.
Some guests pick the fastest path every time. Others prefer to build their color over a few visits and spread the investment out. Both are completely right answers. There's no upsell waiting at the end of the conversation and no pressure toward the most expensive option.

What this looks like at your first appointment
If you're new to Tailored, your first visit is our New Guest Cut & Color, starting at $210. Here's what to expect:
A real conversation first. We'll ask about your hair's history, your daily routine, and what you're hoping for, including what you don't want.
Three options, three price points. You'll hear exactly what each one involves and what it costs.
You choose, then we start. Nothing begins until you've agreed on the direction and the price.
A plan for what comes next. If your goal takes more than one visit, you'll leave knowing what the next appointment looks like and roughly what it'll cost.
That last piece is where the relationship starts to compound. The longer you're with us, the better we know your hair, and the more precisely we can plan every appointment around it.
Fair pricing starts with an honest conversation
Transparent pricing isn't a policy we added to our menu. It's what happens naturally when every service starts with the right questions. You deserve to know what you're investing in, why it costs what it does, and what your other options are, all before you commit.
We'd love to meet your hair and show you how it works.
